When you upload a photo for makeup analysis:

• Process: Your image is temporarily converted to base64 format and securely transmitted to our AI service (Together AI) solely for makeup analysis purposes
• Analysis Focus: Our AI examines makeup application, color coordination, and beauty techniques – NOT facial recognition or biometric extraction
• No Facial Recognition: The AI specifically identifies makeup elements (lipstick, eyeshadow, foundation, etc.) without identifying or recognizing individuals
• Local Processing Preference: Whenever possible, basic analysis is performed directly on your device to minimize data transmission

2.3 Image Storage and Retention

• Local Storage Only: All images are stored exclusively on your device in the app's secure document directory, inaccessible to other applications
• No Cloud Upload: Images are never permanently stored on our servers or third-party services beyond the temporary processing period
• Retention Period: Images are retained locally until you choose to delete them or uninstall the app
• Automatic Cleanup: Our system automatically limits storage to your latest 50 analysis records, with older records requiring your explicit approval to retain
• User Control: You can set custom retention periods in the app's privacy settings, including automatic deletion after 7, 30, or 90 days

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

3.1 AI Service Integration

We work with one trusted third-party service provider for specific functionality:

• Service Provider: Together AI (used exclusively for makeup analysis)
• Data Transmitted: Temporarily encoded images in base64 format for analysis purposes only
• Purpose: To generate personalized makeup improvement suggestions based on your uploaded look
• Data Retention by Third Party: Images are processed in real-time and not stored by Together AI; their systems automatically purge all image data immediately after analysis
• Contractual Obligations: Together AI is contractually required to:
  • Use your data only for providing the requested analysis
  • Implement appropriate security measures
  • Not share your data with any other parties
  • Not use your data for their own purposes or algorithm training

3.2 No Other Third-Party Sharing

We do not share your images or analysis results with any other third parties for:

• Advertising or marketing purposes
• Social media platforms (unless you explicitly choose to share your look)
• Marketing companies or data aggregators
• Data brokers or information resellers
• Any facial recognition services or databases
• Any purpose beyond the specific makeup analysis you request

4. Data Security and Protection

4.1 Security Measures

• All images are stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage frameworks that prevent unauthorized access
• Analysis results are encrypted using GetStorage encryption with industry-standard protocols
• No server-side permanent storage of personal images or sensitive data
• App Transport Security (ATS) is enforced for all network communications to ensure secure transmission
• Regular security audits are performed on our data handling processes
• Automatic session timeouts protect against unauthorized access to your device

4.2 User Control

• You can delete any image or analysis result at any time through the app's "My Looks" section
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data, with no residual files remaining
• No remote backup or recovery of your personal images without your explicit permission
• You can export your analysis history (without images) for personal record-keeping
• You can disable image uploads entirely in the app's privacy settings

5. Children's Privacy

Our app is rated 17+ and is restricted to users aged 17 and above only. Minors are strictly prohibited from using this app.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete the information immediately
• There are no features or settings designed to accommodate or permit use by minors, including those under 13.
• All operations and usage policies of the app are formulated for adult users aged 17 and above, and are not applicable to minors

Image analysis is performed by Together AI, which may process data in different jurisdictions. However:

• Images are only temporarily transmitted for processing and not stored
• No permanent storage occurs outside your device
• No biometric data is extracted or transferred internationally
• All international data transfers comply with applicable data protection regulations
• We ensure that any cross-border data transfers meet the standards required by GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations
